Covid-19 - Update - 03/06/2020
Hello everyone,
We have another little update from the authorities regarding how to proceed. We are still on course to open and begin seeing customers on July 4th, however we will be forced to change the way we currently operate. There are a number of healthy and safety measures and social distancing requirements that we must adhere to. This will inevitably impact on what a typical day at the salon looks like for us. Many of the conditions regarding cleanliness and hygiene were already part of our business approach beforehand, but rest assured, the salon will be sanitised and deep-cleaned before we open. Where we do anticipate some inconvenience however is in the number of people we will be able to see in one day and in terms of the amount of PPE we will be required to use during our appointments.
On the basis that we are very reluctant to keep posting updates when the situation is so fluid, (we hope things change between now and July 4th) we would like to provide notice of two key situations we’re facing.
1. We will have to move some of the current bookings in order to stagger visits to the salon. Phil and Katherine will contact everyone to ensure that there is no confusion and that everyone is happy.
2. There will be a PPE surcharge attached to the appointment. We are still working out exactly what this will be based on the fact we are still awaiting further clarity over precisely what is required. We can promise however that we will be seeking to find a balance between the safety of yourself and the safety of our staff, as well as making sure our services remain excellent value for money.
So, once again, we are very sorry to find ourselves moving forward in this way, but we are also hugely excited to be opening up again. It will be great to see you all again and we thank you for your patience during this period.
We hope that we can get back to our relaxed and informal approach as soon as possible, but even if we can’t, Phillip Hughes Hairdressing will continue to evolve to make sure we can provide great services in a safe and friendly environment.

Covid-19 - Update - 29/04/2020
To our loyal customers,
As we continue to digest the news reports and try to work out what, if anything, we can do, it is important to reiterate our commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of both our staff and our customers.
As such, we will be strictly following government guidelines about re-opening. When that moment comes however, we envisage strong demand for appointments. We are therefore tentatively taking bookings from the 1st of July. You can book here.
Please note, these appointments will run subject to government advice and the salon experience may differ substantially from previous visits. We are striving to balance both comfort and safety.

Covid-19 - Announcement to all our Clients
Due to the current situation we have all found ourselves going through, and from the Government recommendations we have all been issued, we have decided to close our salon as of today until further notice.
It is with a heavy heart but we need to protect our clients and our staff members which is of course the most important thing to do.
We thank you all for your continued support and we very much look forward to seeing you all again when possible.
